Houston Writeathon

This weekend Aleberry will be participating & “community sponsoring” the Houston Writeathon along with some of our other mates!

On Saturday, writers, designers, data nerds, and civil servants will come together to improve government communication starting with our own beloved city!

Thanks to Open Houston for providing a few resources, tools, and sample projects. Ideas ranged from data visualizations and infographics using tools like the City of Houston Open Data Portal, Many Eyes, Google Charts, and Tableau Public, to sample projects visualizing city procurement, social media activity, parking signage, transportation ordinances, library card benefits, and neighborhood resources.
