Helping a disruptive CRO look as innovative as the science it supports.

About the Company
Proxima CRO

The Why & How We Met
Aleberry was fortunate to work with Proxima’s founding leadership team on previous successful MedTech and healthcare ventures. When they set out to build a new kind of CRO focused on supporting innovative companies in 2017, we’re lucky to work with them again.
Proxima saw a big gap in the clinical research and CRO market: emerging companies, often with smaller teams filled with the next generation of innovators seeking FDA approval. These companies needed to move more efficiently than most of the traditional, old-school and larger CRO models could support.
Teams building disruptive biotech, pharma, MedTech and medical device companies, especially built by newer generations want to integrate innovative technologies and strategies. Proxima CRO wanted to break the CRO industry mold by looking and sounding like the disruptive companies they were working with.
The team wanted an all-inclusive partner who could support internal and portfolio fundraising efforts, website design and development, content marketing, and integrate SEO as they scaled. Most importantly, they wanted a partner who understood the space well enough to help them stand out.
What We Actually Did
Aleberry always starts with a knowledge dump from the experts building the company, gaining insights into what is working and not working in the industry.
Clinical research and regulatory affairs are services often marketed with cumbersome technical and regulatory language that feels heavy and lacks transparency into processes & strategies. Proxima wanted the opposite: a visually modern website, easy to digest content, and language that matched the transparency of the team and processes.
From custom infographics and illustrations to copywriting and overall messaging, Aleberry explained CRO services and processes across their website, proposals, marketing & investor decks, and long-form content.
As Proxima Clinical scaled, we improved and expanded their website and assets, creating tools for both the internal team’s business development efforts, and potential clients. We strategized and built a large resource hub that was easy to search & filter and filled with Sales Assets, FAQs, Glossary Terms, Videos, Case Studies, Downloadable Guides, Templates, and Resources, and Industry Insights.
Like many B2B and highly technical industries, like healthcare, biotech, MedTech, and medical devices, LinkedIn is where business development and relationships happen. Aleberry built out social graphics, blurbs, and a content calendar to ensure Proxima’s expertise was highlighted where their potential clients are already engaged.
To support all these efforts, Aleberry designed marketing collateral and worked with the business development leads to figure out what assets would be helpful, like conference swag, sales sheets, investor and marketing decks, expanded services pages, and general content and investor relations support. We also strategized ways to capture leads, integrating their Hubspot CRM across their website, gated content, and other digital assets.
How It's Going
As Proxima scaled, created new ventures, including an accelerator and podcast, and the leadership changed, Aleberry has been fortunate to work with a CRO that is disrupting the industry like the companies they support.
The resource hub became a genuine SEO engine, helping rank Proxima CRO on the first page for many key industry search terms.
Across multiple iterations of the website and overall visual pivots over the years, we’ve shaped the messaging and content that runs across Proxima’s website, decks, social media, and long-form content like blog posts, press releases, and other insights.
The messaging and visuals have helped create a narrative that holds up across every audience Proxima needs it to: investors, portfolio companies, industry partners, and the emerging biotech and MedTech founders deciding who to trust with their regulatory path forward.
